The Vhire Guarantee: What Happens If a Placed Educator Leaves Your Victorian Childcare Centre Early

No recruitment placement is risk-free. Even the most thoroughly screened candidate can leave within their first months due to personal circumstances, unforeseen life events or an unexpected mismatch that wasn't apparent through the recruitment process.

Vhire's approach to placement risk is built on two principles: rigorous upfront screening that minimises the likelihood of an early departure, and a clear, fair guarantee process for when one occurs despite our best efforts.

OUR POST-PLACEMENT CHECK-IN SYSTEM

The most effective guarantee is one you rarely need to invoke. Vhire's 30-day and 90-day post-placement check-ins are designed to identify early retention risks before they become departures.

At 30 days, we speak with both the placed educator and the Centre Director separately. We ask the educator: how is the role matching your expectations? Are there any early concerns? We ask the centre director: how is the educator performing? Are there any early fit concerns?

When there are early concerns — and sometimes there are — we facilitate a three-way conversation to address them while the employment relationship is still salvageable. Many early retention risks are resolved through this intervention, not through replacement.

WHAT HAPPENS IF A PLACED EDUCATOR LEAVES WITHIN THE GUARANTEE PERIOD

If a Vhire-placed educator leaves your centre within the guarantee period despite the post-placement check-in process, Vhire initiates a replacement search at no additional placement fee.

Our replacement process follows the same sourcing, screening and presentation standards as the original placement. We prioritise your replacement as an urgent brief.

OUR COMMITMENT TO HONEST MATCHING

The most important thing we do to prevent a guarantee from being needed is honest candidate briefing before placement. We don't present candidates who have undisclosed reservations about the location, the role or the lifestyle. We don't rush a candidate through the process in a way that prevents them from making a fully informed decision.

An educator who is genuinely excited about your centre and your community before they start is the most reliable guarantee against early departure.

WHY VHIRE'S SCREENING PRODUCES LOWER EARLY DEPARTURE RATES

Vhire's seven-point checklist includes specific assessment of motivation — why the candidate is looking, what they need from their next employer, what their support network in the region looks like and what their genuine commitment to the location is.

These are the factors that predict whether a candidate stays — and they're what most recruitment processes skip entirely.
