How to Use the Orana DAMA to Hire International Educators in NSW
The Orana Designated Area Migration Agreement covers a vast swathe of western and central New South Wales — from Dubbo and Orange to Bathurst, Mudgee, Parkes, Forbes, Cowra, Wellington and beyond. For eligible childcare centre directors, it provides a powerful international recruitment pathway that most have never explored.
WHAT THE ORANA DAMA COVERS
Occupation lists, eligibility and any concessions vary by agreement and change over time. Check the current Orana DAMA occupation list with a registered migration agent before planning an early childhood role around it.
HOW THE PROCESS WORKS FOR NSW CHILDCARE CENTRES
Step 1: Obtain endorsement from the Orana DAR (Regional Development Australia Orana). Step 2: Apply for Standard Business Sponsorship with the Department of Home Affairs. Step 3: The sponsored educator applies for their visa through a registered migration agent (MARN).
